Branding & Logo Design

Farnham - Hidden Britain Design Award

This was a live brief in the form of a competition for the 'Hidden Britain Design Award' run by the National Trust to promote tourism to Market Towns across the country. My brief was to rebrand and redesign an Identity for the town of Farnham.

Using research groups, brand wheels and many hours of brainstorming and sketching, I developed this design and applied it to all aspects of Corporate Identity - Business Cards, Letterheads, Town Banners, Website, Maps and much much more.

My work was selected for the finals of the competition which was judged within the Historic Farnham Castle, eventually being placed as a close Runner Up by the final judging panel.

Butler, Tanner & Dennis

Whilst I was an employee of Dennis Publishing Ltd, our Chairman, Mr Felix Dennis, purchased a new printing company in Frome, Somerset called Tanner & Dennis.

This was an Identity that I created to form the new company, Butler, Tanner & Dennis. I maintained the Red colour from the www.dennis.co.uk Identity, to tie then two together, and decided to go big on the ampersand, using a traditional, serif font for the whole idendity to show off the succesful history of the rural printing company.

I was selected as 2nd place in a competition to have my design implemented.

Cloud Pro

The brief was to create 3 'logo-type' illustrations to categorise news stories on the Cloud Pro website. The illustrations needed to incorporate the existing branding, so I used the colours and typefaces to complement the website.

Second Nature

This is an Idenity for a Recycle and Reuse awareness charity - Second Nature. The intention of the charity is to educate people into recycling and thinking twice about throwing things away, with it eventually becoming second nature to do so.

I worked the wheel into the design, to show the cycle and flow of re-using and recycling items, and how you can produce something different out of its previous state.

I designed all aspects of corporate literature for this brand.

Green Oaks - Landscape Design

This Identity was for a local Landscaping and Design service. As the company was mainly working on larger estates with big gardens and large landscaping projects, the client wanted a classic and approachable identity that was strong and yet still had a friendly feel. The client also wanted the Oak Leaf to form part of the design.

The final identity was applied to all aspects of corporate literature.
